A Little Of Our Story
In 2019, a local craft brewery offered to give us their spent grains left over from beer making. As a local bakeshop with a mission of sustainable and clean products, we didn’t hesitate to take them up on the offer.
Barley’s Biscuits are made of just 4 ingredients, peanut butter, barley, eggs, and flour. With the spent grain being a major flavor and component, placing the product in a resealable can was only fitting. For the first time in history, you can share your passion for a hoppy brew, or biscuit, with your furry friend!
Our Kitchen and Mission
All of our products are baked in our Gateway to Learning kitchens by our participants. Gateway to Learning, a 501(c)(3) in Chicago, IL, helps adults with intellectual disabilities and developmental challenges obtain everyday skills.
Dog biscuits are not our only creation! We also own and operate Dorothy’s Sweet Shoppe, offering delicious products for human consumption.
